There are several different sound programs available for the Creature Clock. <\/strong>

Mockingbird and owls<\/strong> (this is the most popular version)
Daytime
   On the hour: a variety of mockingbird calls is generated. 
   There are 4 different variations of calls that are rotated through on subsequent hours.
   On the quarter hour: a songbird chirp
Nighttime
   On the hour: a Great Horned Owl hoots three times
   On the quarter hour: three cricket chirps

Daytime
   On the hour: a variety of mockingbird calls.
   There are 4 different variations of calls that are rotated through on subsequent hours.
   On the quarter hour: a songbird chirp.
Nighttime
   On the hour: pond frogs croak 6 times.
   On the quarter hour: three cricket chirps.

Roosters<\/strong>
It is possible to add a rooster to the mockingbird programs. In this version, a rooster will \u201ccrow\u201d on the hour for the first two hours in the morning. In other words, if your room gets light at 6 AM, a rooster will be heard at 6 AM and at 7 AM. Otherwise the sounds are as described above.

Counting Crows<\/strong>
This program counts. In other words, at one o\u2019clock one call is heard, at 2 o\u2019clock two calls are heard, etc.
Daytime
   On the hour: a sequence of bird calls is generated. At noon, all of the calls are heard. 
   The exact sequence is as follows:
      crow, crow, jay, jay, jay, jay, woodpecker, crow, jay, jay, jay, jay
   On the quarter hour: a songbird chirp
Nighttime
   On the hour: a series of pond frogs are heard. At one AM one frog is heard. At 2 AM two frogs are heard. 
   At midnight all 12 frogs are heard.
On the quarter hour: three cricket chirps

Ducks and Frogs<\/strong>
This program counts. In other words, at one o\u2019clock one call is heard, at 2 o\u2019clock two calls are heard, etc.
Daytime
   On the hour: a variety of duck calls
   On the quarter hour: a songbird chirp.
Nighttime
   On the hour: a frog chorus
   On the quarter hour: three cricket chirps

Wooden flute<\/strong>
Daytime or nighttime
   On the hour: the traditional \u201cWestminster chimes\u201d tune is played on a Puny Tune<\/a> wooden flute. 
   Actually, the tune has been slightly modified to be in a minor key. 
   Following the tune, several flute tones are played to \u201cchime\u201d the hours (4 tones at 4 o\u2019clock, for example).
On the half hour: a single flute tone is heard (no sound is heard at the 15 and 45 minute intervals).

Wind chimes<\/strong>
Daytime or nighttime
   On the hour: the sound of a small wind chime is heard, as if a breeze has just blown through the room. 
   The chime that was recorded has short (4-6\u201d) brass tubes, so the sound is high and twinkling. 
   Following the chime, the largest tube is played several times to \u201ccount\u201d the hours (4 tones at 4 o\u2019clock, for example).
On the quarter hour: two small chimes are heard.
